Changing list for 6/27

New Watch List:

I have changed some of the parameters for the watch list. These should be higher quality with better moves. A narrower focus so fewer stocks in the list. The list is used for Daytrading, Swing trading and Extreme R entries for longer term trades so stocks are posted in the list as long as they qualify. An entry point for certain types of trading may or may not have already happened.

Wasn’t this a dandy day. If this mushy market continues a few more days my watch list will become much smaller. That is a good thing…… mushy market = less trading = things are working just as planned. When the market picks back up will I miss alot of the first legs up? Yes……will I miss a ton of the false starts? Yes!

Was gone all day….was very pleased when I returned to see that over all my stocks held up well. GLBL was a big help…..NUAN was not much help.

Was talking with Flatwallet today about how to develope a trading method. I think it is important to look for very unique events that are followed by a strong move. This may sound obvious but there is a slight twist to it. Most young traders look for stocks that have moved and then try too determine what happened  just before the move.

Try turning that around….forget for a minute about finding stocks that move and instead look for events that seldom ever happen. Look for a pattern that shows up maybe three or four times a week out of three thousands stocks. Then look at what the stock does.

I think you will be surprised at what you find.

I Am Back

Great trip…….we went all the way up into Canada. Beautiful! On the way up and the way back we stayed in the Lew Beach area of the Catskill Mountains. Caught a lot of trout. Improved my casting 1,000 percent at the Joan Wulff fly fishing school. Any body serious about fly fishing should book a trip to the school. They are excellent and the school is located on the Beaver Kill…the birth place of Dry Fly fishing. She is a legend, her husband was a legend and the area around the school is legendary.

OK…back to boring old stock trading……. My positions held up very well. Got nicked on a very few while I was gone when you guys let the market fall a bit. The rest did real well with the best probably being NUAN. I did miss a ton of great entries but I will get over it.

The Trading Goddess or some other really good, hard working blogger would go back and list all the stocks that rolled through the watch list while I was gone but I am not that good so we will just pick up from here.
