Out of Town

April 26, 2007

Leaving today for a short trip. Be back the middle of next week.

Good Luck.

Cleaning House (kinda)

April 25, 2007

The day started with me planning to close almost all of my trades, leaving just the few recent ones and only the really good old ones. As the day went on more and more of the positions looked really good so I kept most of them. Hope I won’t regret that.

The rising market floated alot of boats and gave me the opportunity to get out of a few dogs at better prices than deserved so I did clear those out. Some on limit orders at my entryprice. If not for the mania today that would not have happened so starting the day with house cleaning in mind turned out to be a good idea.

In preparing for a trip we are taking soon I decide to check the air pressure in the RV. Then I figured it was a good time to check all the tires on all the vehicles. Happily enough on all of them there was a little tag on the drivers door telling you what the air pressure is suppose to be. When it was time for the Mitsubishi SUV I found a very fancy label giving a number of choices depending on what you were planning to use the vehicle for. Things like carry less than 5 people, pull a trailer, have a full load and then there was this very interesting one…………………..there was a different suggested air pressure if you planned to carry 5 passengers AND exceed 100 mph!

I asked my wife what she thought. She said as little as we do that, we could probably get away with the standard air pressure. I tried to remember the last time I had 5 people in any car and drove 100 mph. I have done it, but I don’t think I have ever done it with 5 people so I decided she was right. That being the case I filled the tires to 29 PSI instead of 30 PSI.

I will just have to keep a close eye on the speedometer next time I have a crowd in the car.

Not Much of A Day

April 25, 2007

Closed STEC (+15.9%)

APG and USG showed some weakness and the puts moved a hair. MOT weakened but the calls were stronger than expected. Gas hit my 53 target and then fell back a bit. Maybe short term top. I hope real short term.

I may cash in everything tomorrow and start fresh. I have very good profits on the table and it might be a good time to start over.

Started being a little more picky today. For one I am loaded up, second I am interested in seeing how this all plays out. I want a little less room between me and the last dip low.
